It is official: CLRC's new name!

November 09, 2017

Current CLRC Director, Dr. Catherine Ramirez and incoming director, Dr. Sylvanna Falcón are excited to share that the CLRC name change is officially underway. We are now the Research Center for the Americas!

Since its founding 25 years ago, the CLRC’s tagline has been “Cross-Border Perspectives Linking the Americas.” After consultation with many key supporters of the CLRC this past year, the goal was to identify a new name that aligns with the tagline and foregrounds our hemispheric approach that bridges and crosses multiple disciplines and fields. This new name achieves that goal and captures the breadth and depth of our intellectual engagements throughout the region.

We understand this new name will take some time to get used to and many updates still need to occur over the next several months (updated weblink, email, etc). For now, we ask for your support in this soft roll out stage by referring to the research center by its new name: the Research Center for the Americas. Thank you for your continued support.
