Set before and during the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution, Michael Nava's The City of Palaces (University of Wisconsin Press, 2014) follows the lives of two families in Mexico City during the clash between Francisco Madero and Porfirio Diaz. The acclaimed writer reads from and addresses questions regarding his latest novel on Friday, April 29, 2016, 3:30-4:40pm, in Kresge College Seminar Room 159, which overlooks the piazzetta.  The room is ADA accessible and refreshments will be provided.

Nava headshotMichael Nava is an attorney, the author of the seven-volume Henry Rios detective series, and the winner of six Lambda Literary awards.  He is currently writing a series of novels, the first of which is The City of Palaces.
